Steve Laskosky - Missouri

Steve adds; "I found two 650s and brought them home. When I came home the following night, my wife had one completely torn down, looked up at me and said "you DO know where all these wires go, don't you?" I decided on a Special because I like the mags. After slightly modifying the frame per Omar specs, I sent it out for silver powder coating. I used these Omar parts; tank, fender, fork protectors, number plate/headlight and 1/2 mile pipes. I modified the wiring, made new brass swing arm bushings, fabricated new fork tube and turn signal brackets and modified the side stand. I used PPG paint. I rebuilt the top end, CNCd some stars on top of carbs. I also CNC drilled the rotors. It has #30 pilots and 137.5 mains. I worked on it religiously for 5 months with maybe a total of 1 month down time and she GETS LOTS OF LOOKS! My wife did a lot of work too, tearing down the bike, cleaning and polishing parts, ordering parts and putting up with my love for "another". A BIG thanks to my wife for all the help and support and for suggesting that I do all the work on the bike in the dining room! She wanted me to work on it in the house so she could see me once in a while. What a woman!"
