I would like to thank Phil Little for allowing me the opportunity to come in and take the reins of his company. Phil has invested untold hours in the interest of making affordable, high quality street tracker, vintage dirt, and clubman parts a reality. He is also a true racer and understands how racers think.
I found Phil online, as many of us have, when I started buying parts from him. After some years out of the motorcycle scene, I was interested in something a little different. From the first time I talked to him, I was impressed with his knowledge, his easygoing personality, and his willingness to help someone he had never talked to before. I consider myself lucky to have met him at a time when he was considering the sale of his company. In the period of time between when I first started seriously considering buying Phil's company and now, I have talked to dozens of people that have done business with him over the past ten or fifteen years. I was struck by the number of people that consider him a friend as well as a business associate. The same is true of the talented folks that fabricate many of the parts that Omar's sells. To me, that speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. My goal, as the new owner of Omar's Dirt Track Racing, is to be as good a friend to my customers and vendors as Phil has been, and to enjoy myself as much as Phil obviously does. If I can do that, I feel that what Phil started will continue to grow and to become an even more important resource for the vintage motorcycle rider and enthusiast. I look forward to talking to all of you, friends and customers alike. |
